The Salem Film Festival Youth & Amateur Competition (SFF-YAC) has been created for the spectator, the student and the amateur film lover. Screenings of your work and informational forums will be held during the week prior to the festival at the IKE Box, and then there will be a special award screening during the festival at The Grand Theater.

YOUTH entries will be accepted by students in middle or high school.
AMATEUR entries are those created by filmmakers who are out of high school, but who still have entry-level filmmaking skills.

If you have honed your filmmaking skills and consider your interest and talent to be above and beyond that of creating film as a hobby, you may choose to read the guidelines of submission into our NORTHWEST EMERGING ARTIST Competition.
