D.B. Cooper, the perpetrator of the only unsolved domestic hijacking in the United States is the inspiration for The Skyjacker. In the Northwest of the 1970s, a down and almost out loner comes up with an escape plan from his life -- to hijack an airplane and demand a ransom. Cigarettes and bourbon fuel his resolve to pull off the dangerous gambit, which he undertakes with steely-eyed determination. If he can resist the charms of the flight's lovely young stewardess, he just might get away with it.
