Filmmakers Trish Geiger & Dan Conroy in attendance 4/19
Film Hosted by A Mysterious Stranger
With tongue firmly planted in cheek, director Larry Blamire pays brilliant homage to the 1930s old-dark-house movies of our past. On (you guessed it!) a dark and stormy night, a group of strange and mysterious strangers gather mysteriously together in an old cursed house that sits alone in the foggy bog. As the master of the house, nephew of the late Sinas Cavinder, extends his clutching hand of hospitality for the reading of the will, a night of foreboding danger dangerously unfolds like a rousing game of Clue as played out by Laurel and Hardy. Incorporating every silly cliché and goofy stereotype imaginable, including the strangest and most mysterious stereotype of them all, the unseen psychopathic killer who is psychopathically killing the strangers one by one, this silly gem is sure to have you shrieking with laughter. Replete with creaking floors and secret panels, eerie music and a thunderous storm, this Dark and Stormy Night will swallow you up like, I dare say, a child swallows Jujubes.
