Filmmakers Monty Miranda & Spencer Berger in Attendance!

With a stylish and hip vibe, Monty Miranda’s snazzy flick Skills Like This has a pitch-perfect energy and momentum to keep up with its visual pizzazz. Resigning himself to the fact that life as a playwright is not his true calling after a disastrous debut, the cool and quirky Max Solomon is feeling slightly sullen and incompetent. His buddies Tom and David are casually bantering with each other across the booth when an off-the-cuff remark steers Max to a bank within view of the restaurant and into an impulsive love for larceny. Emboldened by his newfound knack for pilfering, he is swept up into the romance and danger, enjoying every moment with giddy delight. Fresh-faced screenwriter and star Spencer Berger fills Max’s shoes with a fervently, quick-witted charisma and the comedic chemistry between characters makes the film resonate, reflecting that sparkle you’ll have in your eye from beginning to end.
