Like a postcard heralding back to the nostalgic coming-of-age classics of summers past, Greetings From The Shore is the unique and personal story based on screenwriter Gabrielle Berberich’s experiences in a small seaside town off the coast of New Jersey. A handful of vivid characters bring glint and sparkle to the story of Jenny (Kim Shaw), a bright, young girl who, still reeling from the death of her father, decides to spend one last summer working on Barnegat Island before heading off to college in the fall. Opportunities arise for her to become the ESL instructor to the kitchen staff of the swanky resort club where she waits tables, but when she stumbles into a mysterious world of high-stakes poker and her plans to finance school are thwarted, some unexpected challenges surface. A remarkable ensemble cast that includes the loveable Paul Sorvino and soap star David Fumero rounds out this refreshing small-town, big-hearted film.
