“…an actor’s dream. Shot in self-contained episodes, it has a vérité look and a voyeuristic atmosphere that complement the intimacy of the material.” -NEW YORK TIMES

You won’t soon forget what lurks behind closed doors. ROOM 314 cracks opens the entrance of an anonymous hotel room just far enough to peek inside and meet, at different check-in times, five unique couples all navigating critically intimate moments in their relationships. Longing for understanding and fulfillment, raw emotions swirl as they struggle with the very basic human need for connection and the ultimate realization that it’s often challenging to truly relate to one another. With its moody, underlying tension this disarming tale is deliciously told by ten talented, young actors on the verge of major careers. Whether dealing with unrequited love or what appears to be a booty call gone awry, no one checks out of ROOM 314 without a dose of self enlightenment and honesty. Written and directed by actor-turned-director Michael Knowles (who is also the cinematographer), and shot on a budget of only $35,000, this film is as engaging and honest as they come!
