“A devastating, subtly reticent thriller that matches Hitchcock twist by twist.” –THE OBSERVER

The subtle and unsettling undercurrent in this Hitchcockian thriller merges with a graceful, stylish dramatic core to convey a powerful, psychological story deep-rooted in revenge. Melanie is an accomplished young pianist, well-tempered and ripe for recognition, yet after failing a highly anticipated exam, she gives up playing the instrument for good. Ten years later, she has slyly maneuvered her way into the family of the woman juror she feels was responsible for failing her, first as a nanny to her son and then as a trusted page turner for her live concert performances. With small, simple, unsuspected pings, Melanie (Deborah Francois) creates tiny, emotional fissures that begin to splinter out, cracking the foundation of this seemingly steady family. Gracefully ominous with its quiet but intense build-up, THE PAGE TURNER is phenomenally acted. Both the sultry, evocative Francois and her former mentor Ariane (Catherine Frot), who is struggling to maintain her illustrious career, are captivating in this inviting, psychological unraveling.
