“This astonishing first film by writer-director Stephen Padilla promises to be the MANHATTAN of the first decade of the twenty-first century.” –DICKENS ON SCREEN

Tip-toeing around the intricacies of new-found romance and affection, this remarkable story revolves around Miranda, a second grade teacher whose life with her boyfriend is simple and comfortable until she meets Michael. He introduces her to a world of intimacy, intensity and vulnerability, the likes of which she’s never before experienced, but always secretly desired. The problem is that Michael is otherwise entangled with his girlfriend, Katie. As Michael and Miranda begin to negotiate the complexities of their budding relationship, they are forced to deal with the realities of their individual circumstances. Questions bubble to the surface as they struggle with immediate desire versus satisfying history in this character-rich portrait of life and love. Is it the little things that matter most or maybe it’s all timing and circumstance? Director Stephen Padilla triumphantly tackles these age-old dilemmas in his first feature film, and shot on a budget of only $20,000, it’s a true indie to rejoice in.
