Share experiences and gain insights into the industry and the creative process as they join in panel discussions. Witness how they still love the sheer pleasures of creating, of taking chances and experimenting.  Learn how their passion, craft, and artistic visions merge into films that are fresh, exciting and provocative.


FILMMAKERS’ GALA

Sparkle like a star on Friday, April 21, when you attend your choice of opening night films at the Historic Elsinore Theatre or Salem Cinema. Then enjoy gourmet edibles and libations at j. james Restaurant where you’ll meet and mingle with guest filmmakers, actors, writers and celebrities.

The Youth and Amateur portion of the Salem Film Festival will begin on Tuesday, April 18, 2006.  Aspiring young filmmakers will compete for $3,000 in prizes.  IKE Media will host a series of events that will allow young filmmakers to share their work while also meeting with educators and professionals who will share their own stories and offer guidance on breaking into the industry of multimedia production.

VENUES:

Film screenings and panel discussions will take place at the Historic Elsinore Theatre, Salem Cinema and the Grand Theatre.  All three venues are located within three blocks on High Street in downtown Salem.

Ticket prices range from $7.50 for one ticket to $150 for an all-inclusive VIP Festival Pass.
